The Playback Trust:

Many of the young people involved with Playback require high levels of personal support, which Playback’s experienced trained staff and sessional workers provide.  Through support, Playback encourages young people to have fun, participate in events and activities, and formulate and express their opinions.

The Playback Trust organises approximately 12 events/activities a year; approximately one a month. Events/activities generally take place on a Saturday and run for approximately six hours.

The Playback Trust is committed to offering young people aged between 16 and 25 years volunteering and active citizenship opportunities. Playback volunteers assist the young people to participate fully in the events and activities. In this way the young people will have the opportunity to meet and socialise with their peer group.

The Playback Trust recognises the important role in which volunteers play in community life, and the enormous contribution they make to the quality of life of others. Playback considers that voluntary action forms a valuable element in citizenship and makes a positive contribution to the life of the volunteer.

Volunteers are an integral part of The Playback Trust. We aim to assist volunteers’ personal development and through our training programme volunteers can expand their interpersonal skills, understanding and knowledge.
